completely forgot the replies and comments i got towards my previous post - the longest entry here with the all that weird philosophy. yep, that's right, the long winded philosopher is back with lesson number 2 in philosophy. uhuh, that's a warning to you if you were bored by the previous entry - a warning for you to click on other links and navigate away from this page.
they say life is a journey we are set upon the day we are born. there are ups and downs, potholes and obstacles that make us fall, but all that isn't so bad becos' when we fall, we either pick upself up again (or remain in that depressed pathetic fallen state) or have our friends to help us up. yes. friends are important. they are there for us whenever we need them. or so it is supposed to be.
why that cynical tone? disillusioned perhaps. becos the world is not as innocent and pretty as we would like to be. it's an ugly world that we've been forced to embrace since the day we were given life and were forced to tread upon that path of uncertainty set upon us. we know not what's ahead and the darkness that shrouds our heart and mind is temporarily relieved by the thought - that we are not alone - that we've friends to accompany us. but when all that falls apart, the beauty of the world, the facade and false appearances this apparently pretty world wears, cracks and splits to reveal a dark world where people make use of each other to get what they want.
i am not saying that the world is a completely dark one. that it is a futile journey we've been thrown on. nor that the situation is beyond salvaging. there are some people in this world who are truly angels, bringing light to the lives of those whom they touched, driving the darkness within their hearts away. sadly, such people are few and rare. if you ever meet people like them, cherish them well.
reality is harsh and often slices our peaceful dreamy illusion of the beautiful life we are living in, like a sharp ruthless blade that takes no mercy. hear the ringing somewhere far off? perhaps it's the signal - time for you to wake up and face reality
